City Year Washington, DC Annual Alumni Homecoming Weekend

This past weekend City Year Washington, DC hosted our fifth annual Alumni Homecoming Weekend. Over 160 alumni came back to visit for a weekend filled with memories, fun, and service.

The packed weekend began with a Friday night happy hour at Laughing Man Tavern where the group reconnected and traded stories. On Saturday, despite the cold, alumni gathered for an afternoon of outdoor ice skating at the National Sculpture Garden.  Homecoming weekend concluded with the alumni serving side-by-side with community volunteers and the current City Year corps members at City Year’s Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service.  The alumni proved that City Year’s spirit of service endures long after City Year graduation!
