What team are you on and what do you do? I am a proud member of the Young Heroes team, which runs a Saturday service learning and leadership development program for middle and high school aged students.
Why did you join City Year and why do you serve? I wanted to do something I was passionate about after I graduated from college. I knew that going into the hospitality industry was not going to fulfill that need, but City Year provided the perfect opportunity. I serve because I care and because I have the hope that what I do will make a difference.
What are you most excited about this year? I’m really looking forward to working with the kids in the Young Heroes program in January. Middle school kids have this awesome enthusiasm and I love being around it!
What are you most nervous about this year? I want to be able to give my all in everything I do this year so I'm nervous about burning out before the year it out!
What is something most people don’t know about you and wouldn’t guess? There was a whole paragraph involving Harry Potter in my college essay.
